Aníbal António Cavaco Silva, (born in Boliqueime, Loulé, 15 of July of 1939) is an economist and Portuguese politician and from 2006, the President of the Portuguese Republic.

He was Portugal’s Prime Minister from the 6th Nov. of 1985 to 28th Oct. 1995, being the person that more time was in the leadership of the government of the country since the Revolution on the 25th of April, 1974.

On the 22nd of January of 2006 he was elected “Presidente da República”, having taken office in 9 of March of the same year.

On His Official Visit to Madeira has President of the Republic in 2008. he bought 2 Table Cloths at the Oliveira’s.
