Fulgencio Batista y Zaldívar was born in 16th Jan. of 1901, in Banes.

Was in deed Cuba’s main leader between 1933 and 1940 and Cuba’s Official Presidente from 1940 to 1944 and again from 1952 to 1959, has Dictator.

Was replaced by Fidel Castro in 1959 and obtained constant exile in Madeira.

During his presence in the archipelago, the exiled general became a client of the Oliveiras.
