Fashion designer Mara Rodrigues was born in 1983 in Porto Santo and since her 15 years of age started as fashion designer.

The young promise of the 'golden island ' made the Curso Técnico de Design de Moda, in Oporto City - Technical Course of Design of Fashion, as well as a course of Marketing of Fashion and Vitrinismo, did as well traineeship in the Enterprise MacModa, like children’s fashion designer.

Meanwhile, she has participated in countless events, such as the “Braga Noivos”, the Expo Noivos - fair, the Moda Madeira and a Haute Couture contest in Spain.

Mara Rodrigues represented the Madeira Embroidery in an exhibition in Milan, Beeing invited by “Mattel” to create in a partnership with the Turismoda some coordinated pieces for the most famous doll of the World, Barbie. Mara was invited as well to design and dress, also all the contestants to Miss.

Mara Rodrigues work consists on the creation of party dresses and exclusive pieces to wear on special occasions.

Each line, brilliance and form is studied so that they produce perfect enchantment. In each work, Mara Rodrigues manages to take away the biggest advantage of the combinations, always highlighting the true value and magnificent effect of the embroidery.

She works personally with each client, personalizing each piece, materializing the size, the fabric, the colour, always enhancing the embroidery.

At this moment, she works in partnership with Oliveira Bordados, producing exclusive pieces. She maintains, in parallel, the pledge in her collections.
